Real Madrid are likely to be without striker Karim Benzema when they host Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday due to injury.
This according to Spanish news outlet AS, who report that the 33-year-old is likely to be kept out of the head-to-head clash at the Bernabeu by a thigh problem picked up during the Merengues’ La Liga win over Real Sociedad.
Benzema had to leave the pitch during the first half of the match against La Real, with the Frenchman feeling some discomfort in his left thigh.
Subsequent tests revealed that he was suffering from some fatigue to the flexors of his left thigh, though more tests will be needed to determine the extent of the problem.
Tomorrow Benzema will undergo further tests which should determine with certainty whether he will be able to play against the Nerazzurri, but for now it appears that he will not be able to.
