Real Madrid’s international break: 15 players called up for national duty

With the first international break of 2025 set to begin next week, Real Madrid will see a significant number of players depart to represent their respective national teams.
Some European nations will compete in the UEFA Nations League, while others participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. South American and African teams will also be in action in the World Cup qualifiers over the next two weeks.
A total of 15 Real Madrid stars have been called up for their national teams.
Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga will join the French squad for their Nations League matches against Croatia, led by Real Madrid captain Luka Modric.
Thibaut Courtois returns to the Belgium squad after a long absence as they face Ukraine, where Andriy Lunin will be between the posts.

Defenders Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, and Raul Asencio have been called up by Germany, Austria, and Spain, respectively, for their Nations League clashes against Italy, Serbia, and the Netherlands.
Arda Guler will represent Turkey in the Nations League double-header against Hungary. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham has been named in England’s squad by new manager Thomas Tuchel for World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes are part of Brazil’s squad for crucial World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina, while Federico Valverde will feature for Uruguay in their matchups with Argentina and Bolivia.
Brahim Diaz will join the Morocco squad as they take on Niger and Tanzania in the African World Cup qualifiers.
With so many players away, Carlo Ancelotti will have a limited squad for training. Only Endrick, Lucas Vazquez, and Fran Garcia will be available during the break.
The injured group of Ferland Mendy, Jesus Vallejo, Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, and Eder Militao will also remain at the club to continue their recovery.
