An insight into the finer details of the email sent by the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to the French Football Federation this week has been forthcoming online.

And the info will no doubt be met with intrigue on the part of the Blancos faithful.

For those who may have missed it, on Thursday, it was confirmed that the brass at Real Madrid had made contact with their counterparts in the French national setup.

This came with a view to the upcoming Olympic games.

In the email in question, it was claimed that those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu had made clear that no player contracted to the club would be given permission to take part in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

As much of course comes with the European Championships also set to play out this summer.

The widespread takeaway, in turn, was that Real Madrid had ruled all of Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and even incoming signing Kylian Mbappé out of contention for Olympic involvement.

As has since been confirmed by French outlet Le Parisien, however, this in fact did not prove the case.

Citing direct access to the email forwarded by the La Liga table-toppers, neither Tchouaméni, nor Mbappé, were directly named.

The communication in full can be read below:

“Regarding your request for documentation and the possible summons of our players Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy, we regret to inform you that due to the fact that the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will not take place on FIFA dates, our club does not authorize the release of these players.”
