Speaking to Canal Plus, Eduardo Camavinga (20) said that he believes Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Manchester Cityisn’t necessarily a bad result.”

Camavinga became the youngest semi-final assist provider in Champions League history (20 years and 180 days old) when he set up Vinícius Junior’s opener in the first half. The goal came during a dominant period for Manchester City, and paradoxically, the Premier League side levelled the scores when Real Madrid were in the ascendency.

Kevin De Bruyne’s long-range strike cancelled out Viníciuis Junior’s opener, scored in similar circumstances to earn Manchester City a draw ahead the return leg at the Etihad Stadium next Wednesday.

Camavinga, who was once again deployed in his unfavoured left-back role, reacted to the result on Canal Plus. “I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad result. We gave everything today. It’s a very good start against this Manchester City team, and we’re committed to winning at their place,” he began, in an interview transcribed by Foot Mercato.

You pay dearly for the mistakes. 1-1 isn’t such a bad result. It’s 50-50. We start from scratch in the next match,” concluded the France international.
