Real Madrid’s Casemiro: “I Could’ve Joined Inter Before I Joined Porto” | OneFootball

Real Madrid superstar Casemiro has revealed that he could have joined Inter on loan for the 2014/15 season before opting to sign for Portuguese club FC Porto.

“I had the opportunity to go to Inter, Sevilla and Porto. Julen Lopetegui called me and convinced me to go to Porto. Going to Porto was the best decision of my life, the coach helped me a lot, I gave everything and played great games there,” he said during an interview with Movistar Deportes show ‘Universo Valdano’.

“When I returned to Real Madrid I had more experience, I played in the Champions League, I was a completely different player.”

The 27-year-old Brazilian has been with Los Blancos since 2013 and has made over 200 appearances for them in the time since across all competitions.

This season he has made 10 appearances, in which he has contributed two goals and provided one assist in 870 minutes on the field.
