With the football on hold at the moment, we’ve been thinking about who gets in Real Madrid’s all-time XI.

Yesterday we chose the first of three midfielders. Today we’re choosing the second.

Here are the nominees …

3rd – Michel

A member of the renowned La Quinta del Buitre, Michel never played fewer than 31 LaLiga games a season for 14 years at Real Madrid. Consistency personified.

2nd – Zinedine Zidane

Yes, you love him but when you look at it, Zinedine Zidane didn’t really do that much at Real Madrid. And a good first touch isn’t enough to get you in this team I’m afraid, Ziziou.

And the winner is … Amancio Amaro

A true Blancos legend, amassing over 400 appearances for the club, winning a ridiculous nine Liga titles and playing a key role in the 1966 European Cup triumph.
