An up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is in line for a first-team call-up this weekend.
That’s according to Relevo, amongst others, who point towards Youssef Enríquez Lekhedim as the player in question.
Youssef Lekhedim, commonly referred to as ‘Yusi’, is no stranger to the senior setup in Spain’s capital.
The 19-year-old, in fact, has been a regular feature in training sessions with the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad at Valdebebas, the recipient of a pair of matchday calls, too.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Yusi’s role at senior level looks set to become an even more prominent one over the weeks ahead.
Real Madrid are currently facing up to an injury crisis at left-back, owing to recent injuries suffered by all of Ferland Mendy, David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga.
With Fran García the only natural option still at the disposal of boss Ancelotti, Yusi is therefore expected to be drafted in by the Blancos’ coaching staff for the final weeks of the campaign, beginning this weekend, against Celta Vigo.
