And tomorrow’s clash against Villarreal will once again be availed by coach Carlo Ancelotti to provide fringe players with game time.

Mario Martin’s time to shine?

According to AS, Real Madrid’s young talent Mario Martin has a chance of starting the game against Villarreal.

Martin was included in the squad list for the game to cover up for Aurelien Tchouameni’s absence, who sustained an injury on his foot.

With the 20-year-old coming on to replace Fede Valverde in Real Madrid’s recent 5-0 win over Alaves, Martin already has earned his La Liga debut for the team.

Now, a chance to feature in the starting XI is present against the Yellow Submarine. The game will certainly be a big challenge for Marin, but a good chance for the player to prove his worth and potentially solidify his place ahead of next season.

Another youngster who could be partnering him in the lineup is Turkish sensation Arda Guler, considering his dominant displays as of late.

Madrid betting on Marin for the future

Reports have argued that the coaching staff especially values the Castilla star’s temperament and calm demeanour.

His ball-winning ability has also seen him draw comparisons with Casemiro, with the former Real Madrid icon also commenting on the youngster’s Instagram post after he made league debut.

In fact, Martin is also poised to travel with Real Madrid to the US this summer for the pre-season tour.
