Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has been ruled out for three months after suffering a hamstring injury.
The teenager was stretchered off during Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Granada following an innocuous collision with defender Dimitri Foulquier.
After undergoing various scans, the club have diagnosed ‘a muscular injury affecting the tendon in his right biceps femoris hamstring muscle’.
Rodrygo was in tears as he left the pitch, but later posted on Instagram: ‘The crying can last one night, but the joy comes in the morning.
“Now it is a total focus on recovery and soon I am back! Thank you all for the messages.”
Zinedine Zidane still has Eden Hazard and Vinícius Júnior to choose from in wide areas, as well as Marco Asensio and Lucas Vázquez.
