In a recent interview (via managingmadrid.com), former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov urged Real Madrid to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane. Berbatov said,

“Kane would be a great signing for Real Madrid. He is a complete player, he can score goals, he can assist, he can drop deep, he can do everything. He has the quality and the experience to play for a club like Real Madrid.”

Kane has enjoyed another productive campaign in the Premier League despite failing to help Spurs clinch a top-four spot recently. The English striker has banged in 32 goals and picked up five assists in 49 matches for the North London outfit this season on all fronts.

The 29-year-old has been a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 3.4 shots, 1.5 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in Premier League football. However, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution after making only 72% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).

Is Kane A Dream Option For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?

Kane is proficient at finding space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He remains an excellent finisher in front of the opponent’s goal and can also engineer some clear-cut chances for his teammates in the final third.

The English sensation is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opposition penalty box but needs to find a way to improve his passing accuracy on the attacking end of the pitch.

Still, there is no denying that Kane will be a dream option for Los Blancos to consider during this summer transfer period. At 29, he is currently playing in his prime and would make an instant impact at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium if Carlo Ancelotti can devise a way to get him on board in this off-season.

Kane will bring more firepower to Real Madrid‘s attack. He would also serve as an ideal replacement for Karim Benzema who has entered the twilight years of his playing career at the Madrid club. Therefore, Ancelotti would be wise to orchestrate a move to bring Kane to the Spanish capital when the transfer window commences later this year.
