Hazard was called-up for Belgium’s UEFA Nations League fixtures against Denmark and Iceland, travelling with the squad across Europe.

The LaLiga champions created a personal rehabilitation programme for Hazard to follow ahead of their opener against Real Sociedad on September 20.

But that was quickly disrupted by his decision to join up with Belgium, where different training plans and dietary choices would have followed.

Hazard saw his first season in the capital hit by injury and inconsistency, scoring just one goal in 22 appearances.
