As reported by Marca, Real Madrid look to have their first target for the 2022-23 season, French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The France international and Monaco player is highly regarded at Madrid, and the head of scouting at the club, Juni Calafat, has travelled to Monaco to continue working on bringing the player to the Spanish capital.
Miguel Queipo reports in SoyMadridista, that Calafat has been in Monaco for two days talking to the player’s entourage and getting to know the details of the operation.
The midfielder has been on Madrid’s radar since before he became a starter under Didier Deschamps in the French national team. Carlo Ancelotti said last week that the club has already defined its roadmap for next season and that involves the signing of a midfielder who can eventually replace Casemiro.
Tchouaméni, 22, joined Monaco from Bordeaux in January 2020.
