As Real Madrid continue to track Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies ahead of a potential bid in 2024, the left-back’s teammate Jamal Musiala has said that the Canadian is very happy in Germany.

It’s not a secret that Real Madrid are targeting Davies in the summer of 2024 as they do not see Ferland Mendy having a successful career beyond his ongoing contract.

While the Frencham has a valid contract with Real Madrid until 2025, it is believed that the left-back will be on his way out at the end of the season.

Davies happy in Germany

Davies’ contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2025, meaning he will be entering the final year of his deal next summer.

It provides Real Madrid an opportunity to make a swoop for him, but the left-back’s teammate, Jamal Musiala, appeared relaxed on the matter.

While talking about his teammate’s future, Musiala revealed that he knows for sure that the Canadian is happy in Munich.

“Phonzy? (laughs). We talk every day and do a lot of things together. We sometimes go out in the city together. I know that he’s happy. I think there’s no pressure at all,” the youngster was quoted by Sport1.

Davies is arguably one of the most vital members of the Bayern Munich squad so it comes as no surprise that they are more than willing to hand him a new contract.

However, despite the fact that his ongoing deal runs until 2025, negotiations have said to hit a roadblock.

This is because the initial contact was established by their former sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and following his exit, not one has followed the subject.

In that regard, Bayern indeed want to extend his stay but they want to approach the matter with a concrete sporting and economic plan.

But with Real Madrid lurking, it remains to be seen whether Davies stays in Germany or makes the jump to Spain.
