Real Madrid are reportedly set to loan Norweigan playmaker Martin Ødegaard to Real Sociedad for the next two years.
That’s according to a report from MARCA, who claim Real Madrid will also extend the 20-year-old’s current deal two additional years, which would keep him on the books until 2023.
The Norweigan international had also offered a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen but has opted to test the LaLiga waters.
Ødegaard joined Los Blancos in January 2015 after impressing in Norway’s Eliteserien as a 15-year-old for Strømsgodset.
Though he hasn’t managed to break into the Madrid first-team, aside from two appearances, Ødegaard broke out at Eredivisie side Vitesse this season and registered an impressive 11 goals and 12 assists in 39 appearances.
The move should be announced in the coming days after Real Madrid finalise his new contract.
