The world of economics runs on two fundamental principles: buying and selling. It is the balance between credit and debit that establishes order in any accounting institution, and the world of football is no different.

The transfer window sees clubs across the globe try to strike this very balance. While every team wants to bring in new names to reinforce the squad, the need for concurrent departures is the harsh reality.

Real Madrid, too, find themselves in the same situation after making two signings early in the window. According to reports from Mario Cortegana, Los Blancos‘ management are currently more focussed on sales and not new signings.

Yet, this does not mean that Real Madrid will not make any more signings this summer. It is well known that August is the longest and most eventful month in football, and a lot could happen.

While Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger are the talks of the town in the arrival section, Real Madrid have managed to oversee the departures of Borja Mayoral, Takefusa Kubo, Miguel Gutierrez, and Victor Chust.

Notably, most departures have taken place from the Castilla squad. This is said to be a backup plan to bring in revenue despite the scanty sales in the first team.

Juanmi Latasa is expected to be the next player to leave the club. He too is linked with a move to Getafe, and talks will likely conclude in the coming days.

It remains to be seen if Los Blancos work out an exit route for the likes of Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz, and Jesus Vallejo who are seen as surplus by the manager.
