Having roped in Arda Guler from Fenerbahce last year, Real Madrid are planning to go shopping in Turkey once again in the upcoming transfer window.

On the radars of the Spanish capital club is teenage goalkeeping prospect Onuralp Cevikkan, who plies his trade for Trabzonspor in Turkey.

Just 18 years old, the young goalkeeper joined Trabzonspor from Altinordu last summer and has impressed with the club’s youth teams, with Real Madrid taking note.

Real Madrid send offer for Cevikkan

Now, according to reports in Turkey, as relayed by AS, Real Madrid are serious about their interest in Cevikkan and in fact have made an opening offer for the Turkish prodigy.

Real Madrid scouts have been watching him in action for Trabzonspor’s youth team as well as the Turkish Under-18 national team, who were recently in action against Spain.

Having been impressed by what they saw, Los Blancos have sent in an offer worth €10 million to sign Cevikkan from Trabzonspor.

The idea would be to sign him and send him to the Castilla team, who have had a forgettable season thus far under Raul Gonzalez.

As far as the first-team picture is concerned, Real Madrid have Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin as their goalkeepers, with the latter set to renew his contract imminently.

But Courtois is in his thirties and has had injury issues of late. So, laying down a succession plan for the Belgian for the future would make sense for the Merengues.

And, Cevikkan seems to have shown enough potential for Real Madrid to bring him in and help him develop further within the club ranks.

The youngster signed a new contract until 2028 with Trabzonspor in February. So, it remains to be seen if they are willing to accept the €10 million offer for him.
