Eduardo Camavinga came off in Real Madrid’s La Liga clash with Getafe yesterday after on stamp on his left leg.

The medical staff had to apply an ice pack to his leg while on the bench as the 20-year-old winced in pain.

The French international is now a doubt heading into Real Madrid’s crucial Champions League semi-final second-leg clash with Manchester City.

Camavinga has been rock solid for Los Blancos at left-back. He is defensively aware and has the legs to get forward and contribute in attack.

He assisted Vinicius Junior’s goal against the Cityzens, driving from his half into the City half before laying the ball off.

If he misses the game, the former Rennes star will be a massive loss for manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Following the draw in the first leg in Spain, Los Blancos know they need to produce something special in England.

Ferland Mendy also went off at half-time. Toni Kroos came on for him, and Camavinga dropped to left-back.

When the Angola-born midfield dynamo went off, Alvaro Odriozola replaced him. Ancelotti may decide to go with the Spaniard again.

Ancelotti tried to stay positive when speaking after the game. He said there was nothing to worry about from the initial assessment, but he will have to wait for the test results.

Ancelotti said (via The Athletic): “It’s just a blow and he will recover fast. Everyone should be ready to face Manchester City. Camavinga has a knock, but he should be fine.”

“He had a small twist in his knee, but it’s a blow, nothing more. Tomorrow he will rest, like the rest of those who have played.”

“He has twisted his knee a little bit but he is stable. The most important thing is stability, 100 percent. Now the inside of his knee is bothering him a little bit, but it’s nothing.”
