Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral is close to joining AS Roma in what’s expected to be a €10m move.
That’s according to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, who claim that the clubs are working on finalising an agreement before the 4 October deadline.
Though Real Madrid reportedly wanted €20m for the player, they must sell the player this summer or risk losing him on a free transfer if they fail to sign the player to a new deal.
However, Mayoral is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans and Real Madrid should be keen to offload the player before the end of the transfer window.
The 23-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Levante, scoring 14 goals and dishing out four assists in 69 appearances in all appearances.
