The winners of the latest round of prestigious Globe Soccer awards were this evening made official.
And a whole host of leading figures from Spanish football figured prominently.
Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal, for one, scooped the prize for football’s Best Emerging Player, beating out competition from Real Madrid pair Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga on his way to as much:
Barcelona Femení, fresh off clinching glory in the Champions League, were also recognised for an outstanding campaign, as the Best Women’s Club:
Spaniard Xabi Alonso, meanwhile, bagged the accolade for Best Coach of the Year, with Harry Kane, Manchester City and Atalanta also amongst the prize-winners on the night.
The most coveted trophy of all, though, went to another player who will soon call La Liga home.
This came as Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappé bested soon-to-be teammates Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr, on his way to being named Best Men’s Player:
