Arriving at Real Madrid and managing the expectations that come with the white-coloured jersey is not easy even for the best in the business.

To do so as a teenager, needless to say, is daunting and Real Madrid’s approach of taking Endrick’s incorporation slowly is understandable.

The player may be seeing few minutes this season, but it is clear that Real Madrid have a specific plan in mind to incorporate him onto the biggest stage gradually.

Yet, he has shown tremendous patience and made the most of the few opportunities given to him and is pushing for a bigger role in the coming years.

Endrick’s opinion

Speaking to Romario in a recent interview (h/t MARCA), Endrick opened up on his lack of minutes and showed great maturity in being unaffected by his situation.

“I have no complaints about Real Madrid. I have changed my mentality a lot there and even if I don’t play much, whenever I do, thank God, I enter and score a goal to help my team,” he stated.

Elaborating on his role under Carlo Ancelotti and how he has a lot to learn from the best in the business who are in the same dressing room, he said:

“For meit is a privilege to be in a club as big as Real Madrid, with the best players in the world.”

“The three best in the world are Rodrygo, Mbappe and Vini… and they are our attacking trio,” he added.

Endrick was asked about how it was to be at Real Madrid at such a young age and have the chance to rub shoulders with legends of the game.

“It’s an inexplicable feeling to be with the best, to be always learning, to always be evolving, which for me is the most important thing.”

“I’m at Real Madrid when I’m only 18 years old, I have to enjoy life a lot, I have to enjoy football a lot. And that’s what I’m doing,” he added.

At the same time, though, Endrick admitted that he has some fear that he might miss out on playing for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup next year, saying (h/t Fabrizio Romano):

“To be honest, what goes through my head a lot is that I’m afraid of not being at the 2026 World Cup. I’m worried… because it’s my dream to be at World Cup. It’s even difficult to speak about that. I want go help Brazil to win the 6th World Cup.”
