If the rise of Gonzalo Garcia and the academy star’s incredible performance at the FIFA Club World Cup negatively affects one player; it is the young Brazilian striker Endrick who has struggled for fitness in recent months.
Initially ruled out with a hamstring tendinopathy in mid-May, he was estimated to be out for two months and appeared to be on track to hit that deadline and return for the semifinal of the Club World Cup against PSG.
Unfortunately, however, he suffered a relapse right at the doorstep of a return and has now been ruled out for the same layoff period once more.
As relayed by AS in a recent report, Endrick is currently enjoying his honeymoon but also working hard to return to complete fitness at the earliest.

His time off is highlighted by workouts in the morning and tourism by the evening – something evident from his social media. The player is determined to make a comeback to the field at the earliest.
As it stands, the plan is for him to return by September 15th – roughly two months after his relapse. The caution this time around, needless to say, will be significantly more.
Endrick suffered last season with Carlo Ancelotti barely providing him with any prominence but there was serious hope that he could turn his situation around under Xabi Alonso given the manager’s impressive record with young talents.
His debut under the new coach, unfortunately, has been significantly delayed.
With Endrick out for two months, Garcia will have a chance to further solidify his position as Real Madrid’s trusted striker and complicate matters for the Brazilian protege by the time he returns.
