Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. already has his demands in mind when it comes to extending his contract with the Spanish champions beyond its current expiry date.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Wide-man Vinícius, for his part, is of course fresh off the standout year of his career to date.
After playing a starring role in both Real Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League triumphs, the Brazilian was pipped to the Ballon d’Or, before being named FIFA’s ‘The Best’ player in the game.
With as much in mind, those behind the scenes in Spain’s capital have already put in place plans to negotiate an extension to Vinícius’ terms, currently due to expire in the summer of 2027.
Such talks are expected to take place following the conclusion of the campaign.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then ‘Vini’ and his entourage appear to have a clear idea in mind when it comes to their financial demands.
As per a report from Diario AS, in recognition of his status as arguably the standout performer in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad:
‘He hopes that his contract will be close to or equal to that of Mbappé,’ the top earner at the Santiago Bernabéu as things stand.
