Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has today seen his efforts on the pitch over the course of the 2022/23 campaign recognised.
This comes with the Brazilian having been awarded the XXXIV EFE Trophy, a prize given out to the standout Ibero-American player of the year.
Vinícius, of course, shone bright throughout the 2022/23 term, on his way to a remarkable haul of 23 goals and 21 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.
Finally adding the kind of finished product long called for in his game, the explosive winger continued his upward trajectory into the category of world football’s best players.
And as much proved enough to convince those in charge of voting for the EFE Trophy of Vinícius’ deservingness of the accolade for the 2nd year running.
As per Diario Sport, the 23-year-old was handed the latest addition to his silverware collection ‘in the trophy room of the Sports City Real Madrid de Valdebebas’ earlier today.
Previous Brazilian winners of the award include the likes of Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, and Rivaldo.
When it comes to multi-time victors, though, Vinícius joins an elite club, featuring just three other names – Ronaldo Nazário, Iván Zamorano, and Lionel Messi.
