An insight into the somewhat unusual arrangement in place between Real Madrid star Toni Kroos, and sportswear manufacturer Adidas, has been provided this week.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, who have confirmed that the German international boasts ‘a different agreement than the rest of the footballers’ on Adidas’ payroll.

This comes largely owing to the fact that Kroos simply refuses to change his matchday footwear.

The midfield maestro has been taking to the pitch in the same edition of Adipure 11 Pro 2 boots for the best part of the last decade.

This is despite the fact that the specific line is no longer in production.

He has been urged on several occasions by Adidas to try out some of the brand’s more up to date collections, so as to increase their exposure to the public.

After trying as much once back in 2018, however, the former Bayern Munich man was soon back in his trusty 11 Pros.

For this reason, Kroos’ contract with the sportswear giants is constructed differently to the rest of the brand’s athletes.

In exchange for a range of collaborations, alongside the payment of specified sums, the 34-year-old is also provided with a yearly supply of his trademark boots.

Relevo add that Kroos keeps three such pairs in his locker at Real Madrid’s training ground at all times – one for matches, one for training, and one emergency pair.
