Toni Kroos was the highlight of the recently concluded international break, as the Real Madrid veteran midfielder marked his return to the German national team.
Kroos was the star performer in Germany’s wins over France and the Netherlands, with the former Bayern Munich star bringing much-needed composure, experience and leadership in the middle of the park.
Kroos’ performances for the German national team have left everyone mesmerised and national team coach Julian Nagelsmann is no exception.
Shortly after Germany’s win over the Netherlands in an international friendly, Julian Nagelsmann heaped praise on Kroos.
The young tactician particularly highlighted Kroos’ passing, even labelling him as the best midfielder in Europe when it comes to circulating possession.

“In terms of impact and passing, Toni Kroos is currently by far the best midfielder in Europe,” said Nagelsmann (h/t Madrid Zone), who played an integral role in convincing Kroos to come back from retirement to play for Germany.
After starring for Germany during the international break, Kroos looks all set to represent Die Mannschaft in the upcoming European Championship.
In the meantime, though, Kroos will be focusing on club football, with Real Madrid fighting for La Liga and the Champions League titles.
There were uncertainties over the future of the midfielder, whose contract at the Bernabeu expires at the end of the season.
However, as per reports released today, Kroos has seemingly decided to continue at Madrid beyond this season, and will soon put pen to paper to his one-year extension deal.
