Real Madrid star Federico Valverde is, by the statistics, comfortably the standout midfielder in La Liga across the season to date.

Uruguayan international has for his part of course continued to play a starring role for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real in 2024/25.

One of the first names on the team sheet in Spain’s capital, the 26-year-old has shone on both sides of the ball, pinpoint with his passing, a renewed goal threat, and a tireless worker when defending.

Valverde, in fact, has even been trusted to fill in at right-back on occasion, amid an injury crisis in Los Blancos’ squad.

And, all of this taken into consideration, the South American has stood out as the best-performing midfielder in Spain’s top-flight.
