Real Madrid star ‘has a contract agreement’ with Atlético | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid has negotiated the terms of a contract with city rivals Atlético ahead of the summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing journalist Siro López, who points towards Dani Ceballos as being the player in question.

Speculation linking midfielder Ceballos with a surprise move across Madrid has of course been rampant in the media for some time now.

This comes owing to both the former Arsenal man’s ongoing struggles for game-time with Real, and Atlético’s search for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to next season.

Recent reports have assured that the Real Madrid brass have no intention of allowing Ceballos to depart, less than a year on from putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

But, if the latest word doing the rounds on Wednesday is anything to go by, it would appear that the 27-year-old himself has altogether different ideas.

As per the aforementioned Siro López, citing sources in the player’s inner circle, this comes with Ceballos having put in place a ‘pre-agreement’ with Atlético with a view to a summer transfer:

“I see him more to replace Modrić but we have to convince him because he doesn’t play and I think they have talked and he has a pre-agreement with Atlético de Madrid. That is what has reached me through people very close to him.”
