A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid expects to enjoy a much-improved campaign with the club next time out.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Antonio Rüdiger as the player in question.
Stopper Rüdiger is for his part fresh off an altogether difficult term in Spain’s capital in 2024/25.
Owing to a long-term knee problem, the German international struggled to produce his best form, looking in evident pain time and time again when in competitive action.
Rüdiger, in turn, went under the knife back in April, with hopes of returning to full fitness for next season.
And if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the 32-year-old appears confident that this will prove to be the case.
As per a report from Marca:
‘After a season in which he played almost every minute with a bad knee, he is convinced that next season will be much better since he will be pain-free.’
