Real Madrid star Rodrygo has admitted that head coach Carlo Ancelotti was not entirely satisfied in the aftermath of the club’s latest victory.
Real, of course, marked their return to action on Saturday night.
Fresh off kicking the club’s European campaign into gear with a 3-1 downing of Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart, Los Blancos turned their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Espanyol.
And, after something of a scare early in the 2nd-half upon Espanyol taking the lead, the Spanish champions ultimately emerged on the right side of a 4-1 result.
As alluded to above, however, as much did not prove enough to fully satisfy manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Saturday’s victory, Rodrygo revealed that Real’s boss is becoming increasingly frustrated by his side’s inability to score first-half goals.
For reference, of their 18 goals scored across the season to date, 17 have come beyond the interval.
”Carlo Ancelotti is a little mad at us because we only score in the second-half,” Rodrygo admitted.
