Real Madrid star ‘actively working’ to convince fellow countryman to join the club | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham is playing a leading role in the efforts of the club to bring Trent Alexander-Arnold in with a view to next season.

That’s according to Relevo, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course long proven a prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Liverpool star has made his way to the top of the transfer wishlist of Florentino Pérez and co.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at right-back owing to both the long-term injury suffered by Dani Carvajal and the lack of natural options behind the Spaniard, Alexander-Arnold is considered the ideal profile.

This comes not only owing to his talents as a player, but also the fact that the England international’s terms with Liverpool are due to come to a close next summer.

And, as alluded to above, in their efforts to convince TAA of the merits of a move to La Liga, Real Madrid are being aided by a headline member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘In their conversations in the dressing room and on WhatsApp, Jude Bellingham has tried to convince Alexander-Arnold to wear white. To not renew with Liverpool and to change his surroundings by moving to Madrid.’

The midfield starlet is ‘actively working’ on the transfer, eager to team up with a close friend and fellow countryman in Madrid.
