Sandwiched between a pair of Champions League Last-16 meetings with city rivals Atlético, Los Blancos will turn attentions back towards matters on the domestic front.

A La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano lies in store, at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Rotations are widely expected on the part of Carlo Ancelotti, amid such a challenging stretch of fixtures for Real Madrid at present.

As alluded to above, though, one such personnel change could be forced upon Los Merengues’ coaching staff.

The alteration at hand would come at the heart of defence, amid confirmation that Antonio Rüdiger was unable to train with his teammates at Valdebebas on Saturday morning.

As per Real insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:

‘He is doubtful for tomorrow due to a flu-like illness, according to the club.’
