La Liga giants Real Madrid have accelerated efforts to bring in a leading summer transfer target.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Leny Yoro as the player in question.

The name of defender Yoro has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital for some time now.

This comes amid widespread confirmation that the French sensation has been earmarked as a priority signing by the Real Madrid brass.

On the lookout for a long-term replacement for the departed Nacho, Yoro, at just 18, is viewed as a player capable of manning the art of the Spanish champions’ backline for years to come.

All of a Real persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be excited to hear of their side ramping up their pursuit of the Lille starlet.

As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing, the transfer team at the Santiago Bernabéu have ‘sped up’ the operation to bring Yoro in.

Negotiations have been kickstarted with Lille once more, with a view to finding an immediate agreement on the terms of a deal.

Los Blancos, it is understood, are ready to fork over a sum in excess of €40 million, with their counterparts at The Stade Pierre-Mauroy increasingly inclined to sell, ahead of the expiration of Yoro’s terms with the club in 12 months’ time.
