Goal.com has recently reported that Real Madrid have slapped a €30m price tag on Brahim Diaz this summer. It is believed that the Spanish winger’s current loan club, AC Milan are eyeing a permanent deal to take him from Los Blancos in this off-season (via Goal.com).

Diaz’s Recent Loan Spell In Italian Football

Diaz has recently enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at San Siro as he produced a few eye-catching displays as a key member of the AC Milan attack. The Malaga-born sensation was involved in 39 matches for the Italian giants last season, netting seven goals and picking up four assists across all competitions.

The 21-year-old has impressed in patches in the attacking end of the field after he averaged 0.9 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A and the UEFA Europa League. He has even been excellent when interchanging the ball with his teammates up top based on his pass success rate of 86.4% in both those competitions (stats via whoscored).

Despite an impressive loan spell with AC Milan, Diaz is currently not good enough to earn regular game time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Hence, it makes sense for the player to seal a permanent move away from the Spanish capital in the hopes of more playing time in the coming seasons.

Should Carlo Ancelotti Cash In Diaz This Summer?

Diaz is a moderately paced winger who can make some clever runs out on the wide areas. He is a technically gifted footballer who can keep the ball moving in the opposition half. The Spaniard can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. However, he is in dire need to find some consistency at the highest level if he wants to win some major trophies over the next few years.

Currently, Carlo Ancelotti has no room for Diaz in his squad, so it is only logical for the Italian tactician to cash in on the player this summer. Los Blancos can reinvest the money generated from his potential sale to strengthen other areas of their squad in this off-season.

At 21, Diaz is a winger on the rise and could still grow into a future star in his position someday. However, Ancelotti needs to deliver results from the get-go if he wants to taste more success with Real Madrid in the years to come. Therefore, the Spanish outfit should consider cutting Diaz loose before the start of the new campaign and bring in a more consistent winger this summer.
