The Merengues signed him from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of over €100 million in July 2023 and he has been worth every penny from the day he arrived, so much so that the administrators are already considering a renewal.

On the cards

As relayed in a recent update by AS, Real Madrid feel that Bellingham has more than earned his renewal in under two years at the club and Florentino Perez and Co. are actively working towards securing his future.

Bellingham’s renewal, in fact, is taken for granted within the dressing room and the process is already underway from Real Madrid’s end.

His current contract at the club, with a salary of €8-10 million, runs until June 2029 and it is clear that Los Blancos see him in their longer-term future and that the objective now is to keep him at the club for close to the next decade.

So far this season, the 21-year-old star already has three goals and as many assists to his name in ten UEFA Champions League appearances. Moreover, he has 13 goal contributions so far in La Liga.

The youngster was suspended for Real Madrid’s last two league games after seeing a red card against Osasuna and also misses tonight’s game against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League through an accumulation of yellow cards.

He will next be seen in action in the game against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.
