Real Madrid set to make Brazilian teenager a first-team member immediately after signing | OneFootball

Real Madrid, much like several other top clubs in Europe, are hot in pursuit of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick. The 16-year-old is making waves with Palmeiras and is set for a big-money move to a Europan giant as soon as he turns 18 in 2024.

Currently, PSG are in pole position to get his signature as they are already lining up a second bid for the player after the Brazilian club rejected their first offer of €45 million.

Madrid, meanwhile, are biding their time, and are not ready to make any hurried moves for the player. They do have different tactics to cement their place properly in the race, though.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano (h/t BernabeuDigital), Madrid have promised to Endrick that if the move to sign him goes through in 2024, they will immediately make him a first-team member.

He will not be a part of Real Madrid Castilla, and will be given a senior squad number.

This decision is more than understandable, too, since the move is expected to cost any team €60 million, at the very least.

Los Blancos have signed a fair few players from Brazil in the recent past, with the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Renier Jesus standing out. All three of them were sent to the reserve team to develop before getting senior call-ups.

Vinicius, especially, has turned out to be a standout performer for both club and country. His 2021/22 season was one for the ages, as he scored 17 goals and assisted ten times in the league en route domestic success.

Rodrygo, too, has become an essential part of the Madrid squad, playing second fiddle across the attack, with Vinicius, Karim Benzema, and Federico Valverde forming the first-choice trident.

Endrick’s potential has been largely rated higher than both Vini and Rodrygo, and if he can replicate their success consistently, the move will be a success.
