The champions are waiting to find out where the defence of their crown will begin, with 2020/21 set to begin on the weekend of 19 September.

However, it’s unclear how the situation will develop with the latest rise in coronavirus cases in Spain.

The playing squad will take their latest tests from their homes on 30 August ahead of their return while the training ground remains off limits to anyone except club officials.

Training sessions will only be open to the club’s in-house media as Real take precautions around the risks of spreading the virus.
