While Xabi Alonso has indeed completed his first tournament in charge as the new Real Madrid manager, the fact of the matter remains that he is far from settled or having figured out his plans.
The beginning of the new season, to a large extent, will be when the new coach begins tinkering around and discovering his best XI.
In fact, his clear instructions that every player will have to start from scratch and earn their place in the starting lineup has only fired the dressing room up and motivated them to come out with all guns blazing.
As relayed in a recent report by SER, Brahim Diaz is one such player whose future at the club was uncertain but who has now stood up and prepared to fight his way into Alonso’s plans.

The Real Madrid administration continues to see the Moroccan international as a great alternative for Jude Bellingham and thus will not place him on the market. His goal, however, will be to move ahead of the Englishman on the pecking order.
The Spanish-Moroccan attacker has impressed in recent years under Carlo Ancelotti and the Spanish outlet reveal that there are no doubts over Diaz’s utility in the new management either.
Brahim is already back to his physical best and is prepared to give his all to impress Alonso and earn a regular spot in his plans. He wants to take a step forward and make full use of the new manager’s arrival to pivot his return to regular dynamics.
Brahim’s current contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2027 and there have been reports that he will soon sign a new deal.
