Trent Alexander Arnold’s hopes of securing starting role at Real Madrid've suffered major setback.

Carvajal regains full fitness

The English right back who joined Madrid this summer after leaving Liverpool started the season on the bench.

In the recent la liga clash against Real Oviedo, manager Xabi Alonso preferred Dani Carvajal who returned strongly from cruciate ligament injury.

Carvajal delivered convincing display confirming his recovery & winning back the trust of his coach. According to The Athletic, it's unlikely that Alexander Arnold will break into the starting lineup anytime soon.

Limited minutes for Trent

The 26 year old only featured for the final 3 minute against Oviedo highlighting his current secondary role. Despite being valued at 75 million euro, he faces fierce competition from the experienced Carvajal.

Madrid’s next challenge

Real Madrid're preparing for their 3rd La Liga fixture against Real Mallorca on Saturday. Alexander Arnold who recorded 4 goal & 10 assist in 49 appearances last season with Liverpool may once again have to wait for his chance.
