Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga looks set to miss at least the next six weeks after suffering a knee injury in training.
Camavinga went down under a heavy challenge in Los Blancos’ Tuesday training session ahead of their Super Cup clash with Atalanta.
The France international had to be helped off the pitch by medical staff with many fearing the worst.
But now it’s been confirmed by the reigning European champions that the young midfielder has suffered a slight sprain to his internal lateral knee ligament.
In a statement on Wednesday, Real Madrid revealed the prognosis but failed to give a timeline on the midfielder’s absence.
Reports in the Athletic however, have claimed that Camavinga will miss at least the next six-seven weeks which includes games against Real Sociedad, Atlético de Madrid as well as the start of the Champions League.
