Real Madrid are reportedly refusing to loan Rodrygo Goes this summer as a result of their sudden injury crisis.
Rodrygo – who arrived from Santos this summer – was expected to leave the Santiago Bernabéu in search of regular minutes.
According to AS, senior club officials have now opted to keep the 18-year-old after injuries to Eden Hazard, James Rodríguez and Isco.
Marco Asensio will miss most of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament, with Brahim Díaz also sidelined.
This flurry of knocks has left Zinedine Zidane short on attacking options as they aim to start the season positively.
