All associated with La Liga giants Real Madrid will on Saturday breathe a collective sigh of relief.
This comes amid a fresh insight into the wellbeing of Arda Güler.
For those who may have missed it, the name of youngster Güler took its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital late on Friday.
This came after the 19-year-old was forced into a premature departure from Turkey’s Nations League meeting with Wales.
En route to a goalless stalemate in Cardiff, minutes from time, Güler went to ground in evident pain, clutching his calf.
With the likes of Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Éder Militão having already been sent back to Madrid with fitness problems by their respective countries, alarm bells, in turn, were quickly set sounding at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Carlo Ancelotti and his staff will therefore no doubt be altogether relieved to hear that Güler, in fact, is not expected to spend any time out of action.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The physical setback suffered by Arda Güler yesterday with Turkey did not seem to be anything serious and this has been confirmed after the relevant medical tests on the player.’
The former Fenerbahçe sensation is therefore set to remain with Vincenzo Montella’s Turkish squad for their upcoming clash with Iceland.
