Apart from Kylian Mbappe and Alphonso Davies, Real Madrid are also going after Leny Yoro as a target for the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old Lille centre-half has made a big impression in Ligue 1 and has top clubs across Europe gunning after his services.

Real Madrid, though, are understood to be favourites to land the teenager, ahead of clubs like PSG and Chelsea, who are also interested.

€60 million price tag an issue

However, according to SPORT, Lille’s €60 million price tag for Yoro is something of a hurdle as Real Madrid have no desire to pay that amount.

Yoro’s market value stands at around €40 million while the player is also entering the final year of his contract, which expires in 2025.

As such, Real Madrid are justified in not wanting to pay over the odds to sign Yoro, despite other clubs also lining up to sign him.

An alternate solution

However, as per the report, Real Madrid are ready to propose a creative solution to resolve the matter which might work out in favour of everyone involved.

Indeed, Los Blancos are trying to negotiate a lower price for Yoro and could offer him on loan to Lille for the next season if they agree to a deal at a fee lesser than the €60 million demands.

With Nacho Fernandez set to renew his contract and stay for another year, bringing in Yoro next year would suit Real Madrid.

If Lille stick to their asking price and Yoro refuses to leave this summer for any other club apart from Real Madrid, they would risk losing him for free in 2025.

So, it will be interesting to see whether the Ligue 1 outfit would be open to the idea of accepting a lower fee if a loan spell is attached along with it.
