With the business end of the ongoing season upon us, Real Madrid are already working on improving their squad in the summer transfer market before the next campaign.
The Merengues have made Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool a top priority for the summer, with the right-back position in need of reinforcement.
Recent reports have suggested that the Spanish capital giants have made great progress in their pursuit of the 26-year-old and his signing is looking increasingly likely.
Now, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that Real Madrid have already reached an agreement with Trent Alexander-Arnold over personal terms.
As per the update, the 26-year-old Englishman will be signing a lucrative five-year contract with the reigning Spanish and European champions.

The report provides further details of the agreement, claiming that Alexander-Arnold will earn a gross salary of €15 million per year at Real Madrid, along with attractive performance-related bonuses.
In addition, the England international will also receive a sizeable signing bonus which would be ‘equivalent to a reasonable transfer fee.’
Despite constant efforts from Liverpool to convince him to stay put at Anfield, Alexander-Arnold has decided to sign for Real Madrid and the agreement over personal terms was reached a few weeks ago.
So, unless there is a drastic U-turn, it appears that the England right-back will most likely be teaming up with his international teammate and close friend, Jude Bellingham, for Real Madrid come next season.
It could also potentially lead to the departure of Lucas Vazquez, whose contract expires at the end of the season, considering that he would fall behind Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal in the pecking order.
