Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign David Alaba on a free transfer.
Marca are reporting that the Bayern Munich defender will join the LaLiga champions in the summer following the expiration of his current contract.
The 28-year-old’s future has been under constant speculation for months after it became clear that he would sign a new deal in Munich with Liverpool and Juventus among the clubs linked with the Austrian.
However, it appears that he will sign a four-year-deal to play at the Santiago Bernabéu according to the report.
Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted the task to keep Alaba at the club had failed at the end of November when he said: “We had many conversations with his agent.
“There was a final meeting and a proposal with an October deadline. Our offer was not accepted and our president withdrew it.
Marca have stated that Alaba has already completed a medical with Real.
