Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham in a deal worth in excess of €100m (£86m).

Bellingham is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days after the two teams reached an agreement on the fee for the England midfielder, who is set to complete a big-money move to the Bernabeu.

City also had interest in signing the 19-year-old, but did not submit an offer for the midfielder when it became clear a move to Real Madrid was his preferred destination.

The Athletic are reporting that a deal has not been finalised but it is expected to be concluded without problem. Bellingham is set to become the sixth Englishman to represent Real Madrid, following Laurie Cunningham, Steve McManaman, David Beckham, Michael Owen and Jonathan Woodgate.

Real Madrid also retain interest in signing Harry Kane from Tottenham as the club consider replacements for Karim Benzema.
