The squad of players set to be depended upon by South American heavyweights Brazil for the upcoming international break has on Friday been named.
And the list features some noteworthy inclusions and exclusions alike, by way of La Liga.
When it comes to the former, Spanish champions Real Madrid boast no fewer than four inclusions in the squad selected by head coach Dorival Jr.
This Blancos contingent is made up of Éder Militão, Rodrygo, Vinícius Jr, and Endrick.
Turning attentions towards the other half of the Clásico divide, and Barcelona’s one and only real candidate to link up with the Seleção has somewhat surprisingly been dropped.
The player in question? Raphinha.
Wide-man Raphinha played a key role for Brazil across their recent Copa América campaign, but will play no part in the country’s upcoming World Cup qualifying double-header.
Dorival’s men will first face off against Ecuador on September 7th, before then taking on Paraguay four days later.
The nation’s squad of players for the two fixtures can be seen below
