Real Madrid have provided injury updates on two first-team players ahead of Wednesday’s Supercopa de España semi-final clash with Valencia.

Firstly, David Alaba picked up a knock during Saturday’s LaLiga defeat to Villarreal, and the club have confirmed that the Austrian defender has injured his right soleus (calf).

Aurelien Tchouaméni was also injured in that match, and the club say the French midfielder has injured his left soleus.

Injuries of this nature generally take around three weeks to heal, meaning that both players aren’t expected back in action until the end of January or early February.
