Liverpool and England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the main priorities for Real Madrid for the summer transfer window of 2025.

The reigning champions of Spain and Europe are eager to reinforce the right-back position by signing the successor to Dani Carvajal and see the Liverpool homegrown talent as the best fit.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, speculation about a move to the Santiago Bernabeu has been rife.

In fact, earlier this week, reports claimed that Real Madrid ace Jude Bellingham was working hard to convince Alexander-Arnold to join him in the Spanish capital.

Now, in an interview with Sky Sports, Alexander-Arnold has broken his silence on his contract situation at Liverpool.

The England right-back was very coy on the subject, stating that like all of his past renewals at the Merseyside club, this matter will also be handled privately without any noise.

“I have been at the club 20 years now, I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public – and this one won’t be either,” he said.

The defender then went on to reiterate that he is only focused on “winning multiple trophies. I think that’s the level that we’re at, that’s the level we’ve shown that we’re capable of, beating the best teams in the world.”

While it is true that Real Madrid could use a new right-back as early as January, recent reports insist that they will not move for Alexander-Arnold in the winter.

The idea remains to sign the Liverpool ace on a free transfer when his contract at Anfield expires.

However, it is still uncertain if the Englishman is ready to make the switch or plans to continue his journey at his boyhood club where he has been for two decades.
