Real Madrid prepare for start of Champions League

The squad trained at Real Madrid City in preparation for their first Champions League match this season, against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium (Wednesday, 6:55pm CET). The session was held under strict health regulations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The players who started in the last league match went on a longer run and did more work inside the facilities. The rest of the group also performed possession exercises, ball-work combinations and different finishing series with shots on goal. Mariano trained both inside and on the pitch, while Sergio Ramos, Hazard, Carvajal and Odriozola exercised inside the facilities.
