In a major development, journalist Jorge C Picon (h/t RM4Arab) reports that Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Aurelien Tchouameni as concerns grow over the French midfielder’s performances.
The 24-year-old midfielder, under contract with Los Blancos until 2028, is facing increasing scrutiny this season, and the club appears to favour Eduardo Camavinga, leading to question marks over the former AS Monaco man’s future.
As per the report, inside sources at Valdebebas suggest there are substantial reasons why the Frenchman is beginning to lose favour at various levels within the club.
Recent decisions highlight this shift in status – Tchouameni was benched by manager Carlo Ancelotti against Borussia Dortmund and was the first player substituted in El Clasico against Barcelona.
The former Monaco midfielder, who cost the club €80 million, was brought in to fill the considerable void left by Casemiro. While his first two seasons showed promise, his performances this term have raised eyebrows both as a defensive midfielder and centre-back.

The report adds that only Ancelotti maintains faith in Tchouameni, albeit with increasing reservations.
Board members who were previously convinced by his performances have revised their opinions based on recent months. His showing in the Clasico was particularly concerning, and he has yet to shine in his position this season.
The situation was complicated by Toni Kroos’s unexpected departure last summer. Without the German’s technical prowess and no similar replacement signed, Ancelotti’s midfield has struggled for balance, forcing Tchouameni to shoulder additional responsibilities.
In contrast to Ancelotti’s preference, the club’s hierarchy, led by President Florentino Perez, favours Camavinga for the defensive midfield role.
Another name circulating in Real Madrid’s corridors is Manchester City’s Rodri, who recently won the Ballon d’Or. Despite his knee injury, the Spanish international remains on the radar.
Tchouameni faces a crucial period to prove his worth. While he still retains some support from Ancelotti, the growing preference for Camavinga suggests time may be running out for the Frenchman to reverse his fortunes at Real Madrid.
